    What do you use to keeps nipples from seizing?

    You're not dealing with lubrication so any grease will work. However anti-seize is better. BTW WD-40 draws moisture.

    Get the right sized screens for the size powder you want. Then make it or buy it and use the screens.

    Most all fireworks sold in this country is manufactured in Asia and Europe. The reason is obvious. The fireworks made here are good and reliable. Those makers make their own black powder. You can too.

    Pulling a round ball

    Drywall screw? Wood screw? Glue? Ain't no way! Get a rod with a threaded end. Spend a couple bucks on a ball remover screw that is made just for this. The right tool for the right job.

    Powder

    I have been trying different powders in a Traditions 50 cal Trapper. Goex 3G as a base line. All 30 grain loads. All RWS caps. Next unknown 4G. Less bang and smoke but not nearly as much residue. maybe a bigger charge? Next will be a course powder something like cannon powder. This is fun...

    I tried some very fine homemade BP in the 50 cal Traditions Trapper. A little weak but fired OK.
