Green River Forge NW trade gun

Well I might be wrong but I have been told that Lott locks are Pedersoli...but these locks are also 40 plus years old. I know the R.E. Davis trade gun locks are good solid replacements but they are back ordered with no date for filling them in sight. The company doing the castings for Davis is...

Thank you very much about the information on this fun gun. I am enjoying it quite a bit and having the history of it just makes it all the nice. Can you tell me anything about Nicholas Watts? I would love to find a GRF pistol to go along with this trade gun. I am sure they are out there but...

    Best for moccasins?

Thank you..Great information. My source for buffalo is out of it right now. So I am looking at other places. In my reading some of the best moccasins came from lodge covers that were highly smoked. I will send you a PM for your offered assistance. Thanks again LC

    Allen Santa Fe Hawken

Thanks, that’s what I had figured. I can repair the stock no problem, I have repaired stocks before, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to get a new stock. Th only thing keeping this stock together is the tang an trigger guard lol. I have used both rawhide and a tin wrap to cover up the glue lines...

    Best for moccasins?

I’m just getting started on my traditional clothing and decided to start with a few pair of moccasins. So what is the best type of leather for them? Buffalo? Moose? Elk? Deer? What weight? My persona is western fur trade. I have an affinity for the southwest but live in the Northwest. I...
