I have that same revolver. It’s a fun shooter. Mine was made in 1959-1960.
If it is your intention to shoot it, I would do it. First pop some caps to see if the main spring is strong enough. :cool:

Hopefully everything will turn out alright with your surgery. Just left your body take it’s own time to heal. I had neck surgery about ten years ago. Very satisfied with it. Plus, I can tell you now when the weather is changing….:cool:
I would suggest tying a heavy string to the safety pin, then tie it off to the back of the cannon. That you won’t lose the pin. Also tie a string to the “fly” and secure that. Otherwise you will be looking all over for that thing. :cool:
