I am going to sell this reproduction 1862 Mouse Killer percussion. The only marking is Dixie Gun Works. NIB.

I can not find any that sold. Every state I checked showed they are legal to own and shoot, but illegal to set and leave unattended as a set gun.

Are they OK to sell here? Any idea of value?

I would suggest tying a heavy string to the safety pin, then tie it off to the back of the cannon. That you won’t lose the pin. Also tie a string to the “fly” and secure that. Otherwise you will be looking all over for that thing.

It is quite similar to the alarm gun that DgW sold previously.
The only reference I know of was someone sold one for $165 way back in January 2021. You can factor in inflation to get todays price for it.
Here is that one:

I saw an old undated auction where someone had one up for sale at $240 OBO. He said that the box was marked Made in Italy.

Back in the 70's there was a brick warehouse about 12 miles north of Boston that had neon signs in 3 windows saying TRAP GUNS SET.

The local lore said they were 12 gauge trap guns loaded with buckshot, and that the town's Fire Chief said if there's ever a fire -- you're on your own.

Then again, we never heard that it got robbed either............. :)
