Thanks Longcruise, having a lathe helps, knowing how to actually use it would help even more!

duelist1954 (Mlke Belivue) has been in YouTube Jail

I enjoy his videos, so after watching this I joined Rumble. The only way to show my disapproval of companies like You Tube are to stop using them. To hell with their policies and politics. Maybe old Elon could snatch them up and turn them around.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I made a drill jig today. Not my idea, There is a guy on ALR forum that makes and sells these. Looks handy so I jumped in. There is a bushing for 1/8” and 3/32” drill bits. I used a small piece of copper line, left over from plumbing a mechanical oil pressure gauge as a sleeve for the 1/8”...

It’s a Western Diamondback, the colors on this one were very vivid compared to all the others I’ve come across. We also have Timber Rattlers here. They are very dark.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

We had a very cold weekend with rain on Saturday. Lows were 48 degrees. It’s 85 today. I’m at 3000ft, many I find are like this one, non confrontational. When our son was young and id find one I would try to make them rattle and strike but many just turned around and went the other way. Some are...

I made a depth gauge out of some scrap aluminum. I have seen pictures of some pretty nice ones made out of brass and like them, just don’t want to pay for them! Got lucky walking out of the shop, I stepped out within 4 inches of it and it didn’t strike or rattle.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

I finally had time to finish my Investarm Bridger Hawken facelift. I removed a lot of wood off the entire stock. I added an iron nose cap and entry pipe. I removed all the ugly pattern on the face of the lock. I really don’t like the Investarm style of patch box so I reworked it to remove the...
