CLOSED Volley Gun / Nock Gun

I've got one that was built by The Rifle Shoppe. It's a flintlock and looks like it's never been fired - I certainly have not fired it. Purchased it at a Rock Island Auction two years ago. But it's expensive. PM me if interested.

Screw on pour spout for Schuetzen plastic bottles?

What you really need a Schuetzen plastic can pour spout for is for easily making up paper cartridges. I made one using a ketchup bottle spout and use it every time I need to make paper cartridges.

    Rain down the barrel?

Unfortunately you need to remove the tampion before firing!

    Rain down the barrel?

The period correct solution is to make a wooden tampon to stick down the barrel. I've made them for all of my rifles/muskets. That and a cow's knee will keep everything dry.

    Pyrite Update

I've gotten usable pyrites for my pistols by taking my bag of pyrite crystals (gotten from China on eBay) and spreading them out on the concrete garage floor and lightly hitting the larger ones with a hammer. I then pick out the pieces that are rectangular in shape and about the right size...

    Kibler Fowler Arrived!

I'm also 5'8" and find I can usually adjust to an LOP of up to 14" - although 13.5" works best for me.

    Another shipping war story….

Well maybe your two large outside dogs is a reason the postman did not come up to your house. If I was a postman I wouldn't go anywhere near a house with large loose dogs around. Just saying.

    Engraver for a patchbox?

I can highly recommend Dan Krauss. He takes small jobs (he engraved some lock bolt heads for me) and does a great job. Reasonable and quick turnaround. He can be e-mailed at [email protected]

    D. A. Viens Pistol

Hawkeye, Thanks so much for your reply with all the info on D. A Viens!!!! I have attached about 13 pictures I took yesterday of the pistol to try and capture all the really cool features. It's almost like this was a "Tour de Force" in showing what you can do when you build a pistol : extensive...

    D. A. Viens Pistol

In looking again at the engraving it may be "Viems" rather than "Viens".

    D. A. Viens Pistol

I just recently acquired a truly exceptional Flintlock pistol at auction. There is a sterling silver inlay on top of the barrel that is engraved "D.A. Viens". The engraved lock, which looks custom made is engraved with the initials "DAV" below the pan. Does anyone know who D. A. Viens was and...

SOLD - Pending funds Pedersoli Brown Bess with bayonet

Interesting since when I refinished my new Pedersoli Brown Bess last year I also replaced the side plate with a 1st Model one. Took a lot of filing to get everything to fit but I like the look of the 1st Model side plate a lot better.

    Tiny priming flasks??

I have one. I'm sure it's a reproduction but it works well. I use it to prime my wheellock pistol which requires very fine black powder (Null "B" or hand ground with a mortar and pestle)
