    Loading Block Dimensions

I like for mine to protrude just enough to index. The other school has the board thick enough to where the barrel is indexed via cut outs in the board. RM

    WANTED Jaeger flintlock

@andy52 has one that is a beautiful beast! It’s more expensive than the guidance you mentioned but it’s a wonderful rifle and not terribly above the amount. Maybe take a look…can’t hurt to look right? RM

I am a lefty. Many years I shot right-handed guns until could afford a proper fitting left one. Cap guns no problem and right-handed flinters are doable but annoying to me. Now, I only shoot left-handed rifles. It is a pain sometimes since everything is more expensive and certainly items are...

    Shades of Tom Sawyer

I saw you Sir, just wasn't sure if that was you. Here are just a few pics of me and the crew. Late 18th is not my focus and to make matters worse I had a senior moment and forgot a few of my clothing articles so I was dependent on @andy52 's generosity and others to somewhat fit in with the...

Percussion, ok I get it, but...

What the “Rifleman” says is correct, as long as you set it up correctly. People that experience the low count in shots usually have the flint hitting the frizzen too square and are literally smashing the flint. Which is bad for the frizzen as well. I’ve shot mine over 30 or 40 times with only...
