Very true. "Discretionary income" is getting more difficult to come by and the Traditions guns I've had in my life (at least five) worked well. My 2 centavos to this discussion is the Trad flinter, I used Tracks hardening compound and it was much more reliable after having done it.

I was the third person to comment in this thread. I am a little surprised that so many people feel the same way about this. I thought I was a rarity and expected someone to start shrieking at me as so too often happens. Nice to know I am not alone in this.

Same thing happened to me last year. I will continue to go on hunts with my friends doing the harvesting, but I'm done. Don't know why, it's just not in my heart anymore. Nothing to be ashamed of.
