I’m new to ML and recently shot my ramrod, it hit the target dead center at 25 yards and I found half of it at 75 yards and about 25 yards to the right.

I tried a brand new location and it was packed with hu gets. I’ll bet I saw 50 whirling decoys!! I hiked to the very top and found some open space. I only shot at 4 but managed to hit two. I haven’t hunted doves in over 30 years but was scouting for a place to take my grandson so I figured why...

I did the same thing. Started out well then went downhill fast. I was a little rushed and that never helps. My grandson only shot five, we were going to shoot the other five later but couldn’t squeeze it in, hopefully this month he’ll get a target turned in.

I fully understand Goex filling their government contracts but wish they would at the same time dedicate a part of their production to us ML shooters to keep some limited supply available until they can do both,

People illegally shipping powder or primers as non-hazmat need to be reported and prosecuted. All it will take is one plane crashing, or one UPS truck explosion due to black powder or primers being illegally shipped and that will be the end to this sport !!!!

Just looking at powder horn kits on Crazy Crow and I see they have horn rolls. Can someone please tell me what a horn roll is and what is it used for?

I’vr read that the bigger bucks lose their antlers sooner than the little bucks do to the bigger bucks doing the most breeding, losing the most weight and using up their existing testosterone. Sounds like it could be true.

Does the frizzen spring have to go on and be screwed in before the main spring? I can’t remember the order but I do remember even Jim did it backwards in his video. LOL

PA has a flintlock only deer season after Christmas.

I would suggest donating to a war museum such as soldiers and sailors museum in Pittsburgh. I don’t believe they would sell or destroy any historical firearms but I would check first.

Generally in PA you can buy a license / tag for anything up until that season starts. There is no flintlock license per se, you buy a ML permit and it allows you to hunt the October any ML season if you also have a doe tag, and the late flintlock only season if you have an unused buck or doe...

He’s just pissed off because because he has lost a ton of business to these Kibler kits and probably more than a little jealous of Jim Kiblers success.

My wife works part time at our local library. Every year they pull books that have not circulated much and offer them for sale for $1 or less, those that don’t sell go straight to the dumpster. It’s a shame but true. Also since I have gotten into this hobby she has searched the entire state...
