    Breech Fouling Scraper

No, they shouldn't look that rough. I used to have a hone. After a couple of moves in the past 5 years I can't find that thing. I don't work on them enough to consider buying another. I have one for small bore engines but it's too big. My CVA has super shiny bores. As does my early 1900s break...

Now that you mentioned it. That might be a shoulder. Its hard to tell. Here's a couple pictures of after. The ones with the arrows are the channels to the nipples.

SOLD - Pending funds Euroarms 1858 Remington .44 last reduction

As far as I know Euroarms only imported the Armi San Paolo or the DGG (Grassi, Doninelli and Gazzola) DGG is usually stamped under the grip frame. Since this one doesn't, I'm guessing Armi San Paolo which would be under the loading lever on the barrel.

    Are they really ever finished?

Beautiful. I did the same to my Buccaneers. I blued the locks and barrels. The locks actually came out black. I suppose since they are hard aluminum.

    Breech Fouling Scraper

I see where your concern is coming from. I am aware these are Damascus barrels. For lack of proper wording I called it scrolling. Maybe patterning? Or flow? Whatever its called, it is "exquisite", with no flaws in the pattern throughout. And I know, "Damascus", just the word brings the heebie...

FOR SALE Joseph Pascarella's Remington Ohio National Guard

Another closet queen. Navy Arms Replica Arms Pietta transition revolver. 1858 New Army Remington in 44. Got this at auction. Thought it was just a Pietta 58 for my wall collection. Well it doesn't go well with my Civil War collection. With all the stamping on it. (I found another one) Did some...

    Breech Fouling Scraper

Haha, I'm no troll. I'm serious. I was just trying to figure out what size scraper I needed. As I mentioned earlier, I got it cleaned out. I loaded it up with 85gr 2f, 3/8" over powder, same measure of #4 shot and thin card over that. The second round I just doubled up on the shot. The...

    1860 Army Question

Haven't seen one that doesn't shoot high. Even the Remington. Doesn't matter the caliber. I have a Remington with adjustable sight. Doesn't do a any good. It shoots high and can't be adjusted to shoot low. Even in 45 Colt they shoot high. I just use Kentucky windage.

    SOLD Santa Barbara 1858 Remington

I checked there also. Nothing. All I found was under the grips on the grip frame.

    Breech Fouling Scraper

Yes sir, those are my plans. I have a rig made just for that. My main concern are the nipples. Although they "feel good" I've had them shoot out of a barrel. This was in a repro Sears Zouave and a CVA double.

So its a 16 gauge ? Not that it matters. I have plenty sizes of punches I can make my own wads and cards. Thanks for the info.

    Breech Fouling Scraper

What I meant is that it's older than a breech loader. 1870s ? I have two breech loaders that I use black powder shells. Both are Damascus. I restored both of them. Both were "wall hangers". I see no reason why this muzzleloader will not hold up. I've shot an old 1861 Springfield converted to...
