    Another option for caps.

No, I'm still going to hone the design on my cap die for those that want to go about it that way. This way might seem sacrilegious but it just works too well not to take advantage of when it gives the same end result of being able to fire my guns.

    Another option for caps.

I wouldn't be selling these with primer in them. That would get a visit from the alphabet people.

    .36 Colt Navy that powerful??????

There's no doubt about it, shot placement is more important than bullet weight or size. I mean no disrespect when using this analogy but the little 32acp cartridge was used widely by nazi Germany and accounted for the majority of jews murdered. As an aside, statistically speaking in the US the...

    Another option for caps.

They are hard plastic and seem to break the same way that regular caps do when struck. So far I've had 100% ignition.

I honestly wouldn't know what to charge for something like this.

    Another option for caps.

Even the different brands will run the same prints. Theres multiple ways to go about printing designs. I personally got onto a CAD program and designed these caps and saved the file that I then transfer to a mini SD card. You insert the SD card into the printer and hit print and let it do its...

    Another option for caps.

Small update. These things work fantastic! I put priming compound in about 15 of them last night and took them to work today and they all go bang with no issues, delays, etc... I think this will be my permanent solution.

E will always equal mc squared, regardless of what platform the projectile exits from or what propellant pushes it.

    Another option for caps.

I can change some settings and use a smaller nozzle to make them thinner. I believe they would fit a capper then.

    Another option for caps.

I feel like this warranted another thread because it's a completely different option for those of us making our own caps. This idea dawned on me last night, and I know it may be a bit sacrilegious but I own a 3d printer that I bought for making parts for my airguns and slowly learned how to use...

I made them to be a snug fit on my Pietta 1858.

    Solved the percussion cap issue.

I tried some improvements today and it was a bust. The original design works, amd works well but it isn't 100%. Sometimes the cap will come out lopsided and I'm not looking for that. I experimented with different clearance angles and seem to have made it worse. But, I am taking notes and...

.006 brass shim stock. I guess a person could use soda can in a pinch but it's .004 so I'm not sure how well it'll form or retain on the nipples.

Not yet. I wasn't able to make my revised one today due to workload. It will depend on the style as well, press vs hammer/vise.

These things will definitely work with a capper. They are nearly the same specs as factory caps.
