    Tingle 11Ga

Thanks for posting the photos. I still have two pistols and an extra barrel. At a gunshow at the Lake of the Ozarks when I was a pup, someone representing Tingle (may have been him) had an entire exhibit of the whole line for sale. Dad bought a pistol (which I still have and shoot rarely). Sorta...

Kroil with repeated re-applications amidst moderate pressure fore and aft. No hurry, let the kroil work its magic.

    Firecrackers

Daresay only REALLY OLD guys lived in the days of actual, bonified, honest-to-goodness Cherry Bombs, M-80;s, (AKA Silver Salutes) when they were legal and available at fireworks stands. Those I saved almost had to have been from the summer of 1962. Mixed somehow with nearly identical "smoke...

    Movies and original firearms

Tho' I cannot remember the name/reference, there are still a few "Gun Prop" businesses in existence that rent prop guns (including originals) to the industry and create needed ones (some molded plastic/rubber/etc). I had an old "Guns" magazine around here somewhere with an article on the topic...

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Re-read everything on this forum, checked internet for black powder bargains, and stayed away from my wife who considers muzzleloading a silly thing. Too hot to shoot nor fool with guns in the garage. Found a Muzzle Blast from 1969. So, yes, I'm doing muzzle loading stuff. Stay cool.

    What is this?

Sounds fairly typical of the era in terms of what was accumulated. No internet to the extent we enjoy these days. Choices mostly what was seen in magazines, paper catalogs, and local stores. BUT - there were actually a lot more people enjoying sorta traditional stuff (and goofy things, too)...

    What is this?

Do you reckon the neighbor has any percussion caps? Asking for a friend. Never hurts to ask.

    What is this?

It's from a company called "Classic Arms". Most were sold as inexpensive kits. They are not reproductions of any known antique firearm but perhaps representative of one type or another. The flask is probably from the same era (1990's?) and possibly a reproduction of some common old-time flask...

    FREE Percussion Caps!

I guess I'm saving them so the green-teethed people at my estate auction will have something to spill on the floor. People who cannot resist the urge to pry or tear open every item they see. Caps, powder, antique ammo ...everything.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Unpacked an 1851 "Colt" repo with an extra cylinder bought last month from Midway. Covered in packing grease and encased in anti-rust plastic sack, it's tough to get a good look at it. To be totally honest, even removing the packing oil, etc. might be better left for the next owner, rather than...

    Game Bag

I've used a WWII gas mask bag for 50-plus years. Dead critters never complained, but it has seen better days.

    Gardening ..again

Field corn all around us is growing so fast you can almost hear it. Garden's taking off, but now Jesus turned off the water and put more logs on the fire. Managed to run my 3-point tiller through the broom corn patch Management planted for daughter's broom-making classes. Dirt worked up...

Sales of Firearms and Ammo at Flea Market

One solution would be to open the NCIS data base up to everyone, not just FFL's. The information is from public records, anyway. We opened the records on sex offenders, why not thieves, people adjudged dangerous to themselves or others? Then again. some have "skeletons", I suppose.

    Gardening ..again

As suspected, the problem was a simple fix. Whoever assembled the tillers neglected to properly tighten the pulley that routes the reverse cable - too loose. Fixed it in minutes with a wrench. Someone who buys the tiller I returned will get a real bargain. So, Management (wife) is happy. Bright...

    English Squirrel Stalking

Thanks for posting this. We're really spoiled here in the former colonies when it comes to hunting/fishing/shooting & many don't appreciate what other folks are forced to go through to enjoy our passions. Missourians consider squirrel an entire food group (at least my family does).
