Is the rear sight skewed on or is there a dove tale?

I might put a barrel on it, but I was planning to fix it up and re-sell.

This rifle has a deep blue on the barrel and nose cap, and the trigger guard and butt plate are color cased...

This Missouri Hawken has fiberoptic sights on it,, the seller said that they are the original sights that came with the rifle,does that sound right to you guys?

The handles were pinned on back then..

They would have used a plain butcher knife, google Nowil, and son you will find one there, I have one they are great. Things were not as fancy back in those days...

How did you get the stock that deep reddish brown...D
