Kibler Fowler bounced around through usps

I've had mostly good luck with usps. I do have a trigger that's been orbiting the mason dixon now for a couple of weeks.

What size Dutch oven or potjie to be the only cast iron in a solo camp?

I use a #12 and #10 dutch often. I can bake a loaf of bread and whip up spuds and eggs in a 10 just fine.

1858 Remington History and cool stories.

Anyone within 500 miles of Cody should go to the museum. Be well rested and go early. There's a lit to learn there.

"Use of shot is not permitted"

Help me understand. Every rifle I own shoots minute of deer to well past 100 yards. What does buckshot offer that even a mediocre rifle shooting a ball or conical doesn’t?

Smokepole Fork Buck (bonus longbow kill)

Biggest bull I've seen in Idaho walks 10 yards away from me. I send the simmons through the air. It has to go through a bit of fireweed right in front of him....well, this was hidden in the fireweed. Worst part was he stopped at 16ish yards and I had another on the string but didn't want to...

Smokepole Fork Buck (bonus longbow kill)

I shoot those Simmons heads in my longbow. They sure do let you know when you hit something. It's like a chainsaw wound

    My Idaho elk hunt

I can 100% relate to the struggle. I killed a bull in Idaho and it was-15* on October 26th. I was so happy to get my hands in that thing! I've killed 30 some elk now and even the "easy" ones are a lot of work. Congratulations on a great hunt. Good job.

SOLD Investarm Lyman Cabelas in .45 Hawken rifle with peep sights

You'll want a large opening for poor light. The amount is subjective to the user. Some guys can simply see better than others. Peep apertures are cheap though.

    cutting and crowning a barrel

I don't have any pics of my heavy 10 lathe, but I have a similar spider on it. He could pound a bushing over the barrel and grab it in a steady also. With a lathe this will be 101 work.

    cutting and crowning a barrel

I've also used 8ga copper to allow the pivot....but it's not as easy imo...but works well if you pay attention.

    cutting and crowning a barrel

I chamber and thread rifle barrels for unmentionables at my shop. Here's a pic of how I setup and indicate before I cut on a barrel. Your machinist will understand.

Importance of Shot Placement vs Power

Central nervous hits are it....unless you drop a 500# bomb on it.

Importance of Shot Placement vs Power

I've killed 30 some elk with just about every single weapon from a longbow through super magnums. What I've found is that picking the projectile that has the ability to get to blood or oxygen moving organs is always effective. The bullets that upset at velocities in the contact speed and with...
