Spent 3hr shooting three different rifles. 2 PA Hunters and both seem to like 70gr, 015 pre-lubed patch with round ball. The Hawken has a 45GM barrel and shot 70gr, 015 pre-lubed with round ball. The PA Hunters shot the best but did not have time to work with the GM barrel. The GM barrel shot good with that amount of powder but I think it will do better with a lower charge.

Still sanding the browning off the Cabela's barrel. When I bought the TC renegade I also bought the sellers supplies. Looked it over. I should take a picture. Powder horns...with 2f and 4f, cleaning jags, dryball pullers, lead pot...with lead, casting tongs for calibers I don't have. caps...11's, 204'd , flints...stuff. cleaning solvents, patches, cleaning rods, nipple wrenches, nipples to fit, range box...came with the rifle.

Hoping you see a deer the next time you go.Dang got a feeling i aint going be able to climb a tree this year due to my back. But now my back aint hurting as bad but my right leg is hurting bad. Dang recon im getting wore out. Be safe
It’s all good. I’ll see some another trip, but I appreciate the well wishes. I know how you feel on the leg pain. I blew out a disc in my back a few years ago. Let it go too long and it fired up nerve pain in my left leg. I’ve never had anything hurt that bad! Hope that clears up for you and you get back in the woods.

Well not quite muzzle loading , I made a pig sticker bayonet for my 1851 Feldstutzer. Swiss and it was happy on the wall , yesterday I hanging another gun on the wall and got speared just like a pig . Actually it did not hurt. Ha ha. Some of the guns are rebuilt relics only a few are of any value and shootable
U have some guns there bud. Sotty about your accident. Dang

Well, I'm not inclined to hammer anybody cause I usually hit myself on the thumb. 🤣

Do note however that when you do successfully separate the two the WW is not pure lead and is harder than lead. Another peculiarity of WW castings in that they will be around 8 BHN out of the mold but will harden to around 12 BHN over the next two weeks at room temperature.

So, today, I sharpened my chisels and moved my barrel inletting project into the basement onto my leather working table. Too dang cold in the garage.
Thank you for answering
