Now forbidden to send (empty of course) replica powder flask from UK to USA

I think the OP was referring to a 'Jobsworth' at Royal Mail, UK and the pedantic way he used a regulation to prevent this item being sent. I don't think he was helping to reach a goal so much as being ignorant or afraid of getting flack from his boss; he probably doesn't even know what a powder...

An introduction to Flintlock guns, advice needed.

It arrived an hour ago! Good strong springs and a nice healthy spark. As you say, the pan does look very shallow...

Now forbidden to send (empty of course) replica powder flask from UK to USA

There shouldn't be a problem at my end sending this on to @bpalbee, but just in case there is an issue at the US end I will list the package as 'Small copper sugar dispenser'. I wonder to what degree people these days would recognise it for what it is.

Now forbidden to send (empty of course) replica powder flask from UK to USA

If you like you could get the item posted to my folks back in the UK. Next time I am over there, I could collect it, take it back with me and post it from France, where there are no such restrictions. You might have to wait two or three months but it would solve the problem. If this sounds like...

I have this down to about 20 seconds. So it is at least practical.

An introduction to Flintlock guns, advice needed.

Dear friends, I require a little advice on a gun I have seen today which is for sale. My intention - eventually - is to obtain a flintlock musket or rifle to accompany my percussion guns on the rack. The question is, would this pistol be a good introduction to flintlock shooting and...

    Swivel gun stand and implements

I've always wondered how swivel guns with any kind of mount absorbed recoil. Carronades had slides and regular cannons wheels, but what of swivels?

    32 accuracy at 50yds,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I would love to have a .32. The weird thing is, even though some of them are made in Italy, they just don't seem to be available here (France).

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Many thanks for taking the time to show me this, Pete. As my rifle is very similar to yours, this is very useful indeed. Although I am a Harrison, the 'Boniface' bit comes from a Great - great - great grandparent called Boniface Harrison, who was a master of a merchant sailing vessel. As far as...
