    Unacceptable kit condition?

The lock inlet looks like mine did on my TVM, is the breech area of the barrel also gouged from the router going into the barrel channel? The rest of the problems are easy to fix.

    Monthly Shooting Contests

Printer is the problem for me, I see the appeal of "novelty" targets. But targets that could be purchased locally or even paper plates would be enough for me to participate, I'm at the range most weekends anyways

    Looking for a range rod

If your interested in buying a premade rod Track of the Wolf has some nice 5/16" stainless rods, they come with a muzzle protector. I've got the 44" long rod with 10/32 threads and use it for each of my muzzleloaders at the range. Very sturdy and even though its not a T handle I've had no...

    #32 drill bit

In hardware stores you typically wont see them hanging up with the standard wood/metal bits. Look for where the Taps and Dies are sold individually. Numbered or Lettered drill bits will be close by.

My custom California copper ML bullet.

Dont know if you've considered it but there are a number of places you could buy 15mm copper or brass ball bearings

My custom California copper ML bullet.

It would take little time shaping the nose with a drill press or hand drill and a mill file

    Building First Flintlock

I bought mine when they were first released so it has the Chambers lock. the only work you should have to do in the inlets is tight corners where a round mill bit cant remove the wood. The flats I was referring to were the multiple flat surfaces on the trigger guard and ram rod thimbles, while...

    Building First Flintlock

For what it's worth it's not much more work than building a production kit like a TC Hawken or a Lyman and not much more money, although the finished result and quality of parts is significantly better. If your concerned dont attempt carving, light sanding and scraping is all the stock needs...

    Preferred Cleaning Patches?

I tried searching this, but considering there are many post daily discussing patches for loading not much came up. I've used various "bulk" patches whether purchased local or online with mixed results some great some worthless. Curious what you guys are using I know some use old t shirt or buy...

Should I rebarrel or keep as is

Thanks to everyone for their insight, I will hit the range again this weekend and maybe the woods Any of you hunters use a wetlube for squirrel hunting? Luckily my 54 likes mink oil, this gun however has struggled with it. but for a gun that should be fired without sitting for hours wetlube...

    Smoothbore flintlock kit

For what it's worth Kibler will have one in the near future, should be new details coming soon

Should I rebarrel or keep as is

Theres a good chance I'll end up with an SMR, but a Fowler is my priority. I can't bring myself to sell anything though, my TC Hawken is still sitting around untouched

Should I rebarrel or keep as is

Nothing wrong with the 45 for deer, but since I have a 54 Kibler although heavier the balance is significantly better for shooting without a solid rest. That's not to mention the mountains ill be hunting in have a lot of Black Bear which is what I am hoping to find

Should I rebarrel or keep as is

I'm hesitant to build another rifle as it would put this rifle out of use. I am planning on a smoothbore being next depending on powder supply It's a 42" 13/16 barrel. I will get back to the range with this rifle and try some more light loads. and maybe get it out into the woods.

Should I rebarrel or keep as is

Hopefully this is the right section, Haven't posted in quite some time. I'm getting back into hunting this year and I've always wanted to hunt with a flintlock whether its small game or big game. I built this TVM "poor boy" back in '17 in 45 as a "Do all" rifle The main purpose of this gun...

    Killer colonial kit

For what its worth I have the Kibler Colonial in 54, And it feels better in the hand than the TVM Southern rifle I built last year with a 42" straight 13/16" barrel in .45 And both of those rifles point more naturally than my TC Hawken in .50 which I believe is 32" x 15/16"
