Appreciate it, but I would prefer a gun in stock form. I can easily buy the guns I am looking for new for a decent price if I go Pietta at Midway for example, but I am seeing if there are any used deals here first, as I'm not in a rush.
the models such as
1851 Navy 4.875" or snub nose
1858 Ace...
Looking for mostly guns with barrels shorter than the regular 7.5" or 8" so the walkers and dragoons I'm not as interested in, unless they are pristine Uberti or older models without barrel marks for a good price. Same with the 1860 army and 1851 navy.
however a whitneyville dragoon might be...
Looking for a nice condition but fairly priced revolver. steel frame and 44cal only.
It should work flawless and have no issues, I prefer no markings on the barrel, unless it's a shorter barrel (6.5" or less) or a snub nose
1851, 1858, 1860s really anything with a shorter barrel than the normal...
Thanks for all the info guys
I really only prefer the look of the brass frame due to replicas of CSA weapons, but of course I will go for a steel frame. Was somewhat hoping it was made with steel and just made to look that way.

I like this, is it a steel frame?
i'm in CT so shipping won't be bad at all, I'm new on this forum so I can't PM you or anything, if you can contact me I'd be interested
Please PM me instead or my email: [email protected]
thanks!
Thanks for that info, I've decided to stay with a steel frame.
I like the 1851 Navy but want to keep it "authentic" in .36cal
It seems there are more accessories/items/etc for .44 though, which I'd go for an 1860 Army if I was doing that caliber.
Main differences btwn 1851 in .36 vs 1860 in...
My states laws are ridiculous so the conversion kit wouldn't be a bad choicen in the meantime as the paperwork is on hold for months. Can you order the cowboy loads and get them shipped without restrictions though?
P.s. got lucky and scored 6 tins of percussion caps at local cabelas so I can go...
