    Goex is a go!

If these youth organizations need money for what ever, what is stopping them from organizing fund raisers like we did in Boy Scouts years ago for gear and helping some kids with camp money. Everybody got lazy I guess. Most companies will help but we got the most out of fund raisers.

You should give an approximate location, maybe a member might be close to you that might have 11's and share with you.

    Clogged nipple

In my opinion I would not call that normal. I have a T/C Seneca .36 cal. and have shot Pyrodex p, Pyrodex R&S, Triple Seven, & Black Powder. I have not experienced any of your problems. Like SMO implied, this would be a choice to consider. I personally would look at the the flash channel, there...

    Flintlocks and Black Powder

It is an old wives tale, came from smokeless powder shooters, relating that technology to black powder, while not understanding how the two are different in performance. If I can shoot 22 grains of 4f in my 1851 .36 Navies which I do and have done for many years, 35 grains in my T/C Seneca .36...

What is Wrong in this Picture?

Since we are on flints, here is a question I have been asked many times, how do you measure a flint? I really do not know the right answer to that, I just say If you have access to the flints measure as you sort thru. When advertised, is a 3/4 x 7/8 flint, 3/4" long x 7/8" wide, or 3/4" wide...

How many shots can you get-When you have a GREAT flint ?

I had a string of 70 shots going on a flint, on a what many call a junk lock. A T/C Hawken .50 cal. removed it for hunting season. After the season I am going to put it back on and see how much more I can get

    First light fisher

This past spring, turkey hunting in Sabinsville, Tioga Pa. I saw a pair fooling around the bottom of a big oak tree, maybe 20 yards. They seemed to have been playing with something, I seemed to really surprise them when I advanced on them to see what it was. It was a fresh half eaten small crow...

    Cleaning revolvers

For me guns are a hobby, that means I enjoy shooting them, cleaning them (fully striping them) and tinkering( observing how things work and possible spot a problem that is forth coming and be able to fix it), I like show and tell articles with technical ways to fix a problem. When all that...

Brand new to muzzleloading, near Annapolis

If at all possible it would be to your advantage to find a muzzle loader club or mentor just to see what is involved, and to observe the loading and firing procedure. Look at all types, cap, flintlock, rifled or smooth bore. It will make your adventure more rewarding and less expensive, rather...

This has probably been asked before

Cold steel meets warm air, you got moisture. Now the question is how much warm air can get past a patched ball or past an uncapped nipple, or flash hole is the question. Would it be enough to kill main charge over how many times:dunno:.

    Packing with grease

The lubriplate I use has a range of -30°F to 350°F. Lubriplate sells many grades of grease and temp applications

    Packing with grease

The Remingtons are noted for that, smaller arbor than the Colts. I only shoot Colts and use Lubriplate lithium grease, works well for me, again the Colts hold more grease on arbor than Remingtons
