Pyrodex doesn't work well in a flintlock priming pan at all. It can work if mixed with real BP inside of the bore. So if you want to mix half and half BP/Pyrodox in the bore, and still prime with 4F, its a good way to stretch your supply. You can probably get away with more than 50/50 mix...

Did you try flipping the flint upside down? Some locks prefer bevel down.

What quality of wood is that? I bought the Fancy maple and didn't get nearly as much of a pattern. The more I hear the more I wish I had of picked a .58 instead of a .54 due to it being lighter and better balanced. Kibler himself recommended the .54 so I thought that had merit.

Not everyone is within reasonable driving distance. I'm kind of in a Black powder desert, everything is online.
