That's a good looking rifle Sir! Curious as to how you removed the case hardening color though - file? sandpaper? chemical strip? The faux color hardening on the lock was removed and blued to a dark black color.

Looks pretty handy - 2 questions: 1) what is the overall length? 2) Did the rear sight go with the smoothbore barrel?

For all those concerned about the 2 piece stock and spacer, I wonder if a full stock version Hawken stock would be a close enough match to move all the Traditions Kentucky rifle hardware over to with some minor tweaking of course.

Mine just arrived today (older CVA completed kit) but I look forward to how you progress with yours!
