    Yep, i have 3 flintlocks, 2 in .54 caliber and one in .40...Each has it's own shooting pouch and horn...How else do your kin know how to shoot them once you pass?? :dunno:

    I like to move through the woods and listen for them barking as well as watching for them, then stalk but i also stop and wait in known productive areas so it's a mixture...I use my .40 Bob Watts rifle, loaded with 30grs Goex FFF...

    From the late '80s until Covid, i would dress up and give talks on Colonial America...One school even had Colonial Days where we had outdoor demonstrations, candle making, music, doctoring, wagon rides, soap making, cooking, etc...Well, we no longer do any of these, Covid may have shut it down...

Go to the range, see how many shots you can take without doing anything different...Take a range rod just in case your final load is too tight to ram down with your ramrod...What I do is have the first 2 balls...

    I clean at the range, before I go home, then clean again at home, then check again every few days for rust...I like to leave a lightly oiled patch in the bore for a few days after use..

    It's a .50 .490 ball, .018 or .015 patch with lube or spit and a target load of 50-60grs FFF Goex and you will be good to go...
