Need help just purchase a CVA mountain pistol kit. missing instructions and 2 parts

I have bought CVA parts from Deer Creek, and was very pleased with the service. It looks like they may have the parts you need. Also they have a diagram of the pistol. Which will help you to make sure you do have all the parts you will need. This diagram will help in how and were parts go. Did...

    Patch and Roundball don't fit

Try the .530 with .012 or .018 patch. Or retry with the .535 with .012 patch. The combo that your trying to use is defiantly to much for your bore. I wouldn`t even try to hammer it down. May cause a much bigger problem. (Ball stuck half way down and no way to get it out). MO

CLOSED WTB: CVA Mountain Rifle Rear Sight

That`s what I just said. You were implying that the base and sight were separate, and held together with the screw. Were as they are all one unit. The screw is what locks the sight in the dove tail. M

    Pedersoli Frontier Set Trigger Question

There is a screw located between the front trigger and rear trigger in the lock plate. This screw is your set trigger adjustment screw. Turning it right/in, it is lighter pull. Turning it left/out, heavier pull.

Trying to understand this “short arbor” on Uberti revolvers

Here are some pictures of the gunsmithing that was done on my Uberti 1860 Army with arbor fix. Plus it has been fixed with a 1873 hand spring, light main spring, and trigger& lock bolt spring and complete tuning job. The action is smooth as silk on glass, with short hammer throw and solid...

Need help with CVA Mountain rifle lock

The tighter the whole barrel is to the wood the less vibration you get when rifle is fired. Vibration will cause inaccurate shot placement. That is why some modern rifles have their barrels bedded in. Try pinching in of the barrel lugs. Tap in the middle of the lugs (careful these are soft) a...

Another way to shim the trigger assembly on the CVA Mountain Rifle. I used a flat head screw to shim/stop the trigger assemble. This way I could fine tune the depth of the triggers. MO
