    Borrow coning tool?

I was wondering if anyone in the Northern Kentucky area has a .45 cal coning tool they wouldn't mind if a borrow/rented? I only have the one rifle so don't necessarily want to buy the tool for just one rifle.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

YouTube is a great place to lean. A few channels are, I love muzzleloadinf, Black Powder Maniac Shooter, Black Powder TV, B Kauffman, duelist1954. I have learned a lot from these channels. Also, don't be afraid to ask any questions here even if you think it's a dumb one. The people on the...

    Simple range rifle stand ideas

That's what I was going for. I wanted so.ething that wasn't big that I would actually want to take with me to my range and wasn't cumbersome. I was lucky enough to already have the box laying around and had some scrap rebar that was put to good use.

    CVA Colonial Pistol Sights

I have a cva colonial pistol that the front sight is entirely too short. It is a triangle sight with a post. Has anyone with this pistol ever replaced it with something different? My other thought was to file the rear sight down. I'm currently hitting about 12" high at 15 yards.

    Rust protection.

I am by no means an expert but form what I have seen and read, a lot of it depends on the climate you live in and how you store your firearms. I have had good luck with ballistol but I store mine in my temperature controlled, cool basement in a safe. I did have an issue with rust on the outside...

    Loading technique for hunting

So this will be my first year deer hunting with my flintlock. It has a chambered breech so for reliability, I always plug the touch hole and pour a little alcohol down the barrel to flush any oil out. My plan was, load the powder, use a dry patch over the powder to avoid the lubed patch (TOW...

    TC Bore Scraper

Does anyone have one of the rounded breech scrapers for Thompson Center rifles? If so, what is the width of it? I have a few scrapers and was figuring on bringing the edges on one down for my TC New Englander' breech.

Should I or should I not?

I would have to agree woth you 100% on this. I'm in the exact same boat. If I buy a gun, I have full intentions to shoot it. But not everyone is in the same boat. There are some that are art pieces but those are not the ones I'm in the market for.

Should I or should I not?

Yea. The friend I got it from was really into the civil war and had a few different replica firearms and the LeMatt was the one I got. Like I said before, I am for sure going to shoot it because I never plan to sell it so value diminish is not a factor for me.

Upgrade Jukar kit gun or buy different rifle?

That's my thought as well. Maybe one day I will be able to justify a good quality rifle but woth three you kids right now, it's not in the budget.

Upgrade Jukar kit gun or buy different rifle?

Update: This has been done for a while, but I disassembled the lock, polished all surfaces, replaced the tumbler with one that would accept a bridle, installed a bridle, replaced the frizzen and lightened the tention on the frizzen spring. I also welded the knotch that was filed into the pan...

Should I or should I not?

I was also in the same boat. It's a long story but I recieved a LeMatt revolver as a gift from a family friend that was unfired. I haven't shot it yet but I do plan on it. Yes it would be worth more u fired, but I'm never gonna sell it so I know I'll get more enjoyment out of it by firing it...

Should I or should I not?

If you never plan on selling it, why not shoot it and enjoy it as it was made to be done with.
