Just ordered a box of 50 cal Hornady prelubed PA. conical in 240 gr. and presently shoot TC 275 gr. conical out of an Investram flint lock in 1 in 48 with 75 gr. of 2F. Just wondering of any experience with this round good or bad and do you think my load is good for deer inside 100 yds. ?

A little while back I rechecked my sight in for the after Christmas flint lock season. Flint was well-worn down but the gun went off every time ; but the frizzen didn't pop fully open. Last week I replaced the flint and got it all proper but the frizzen still pops open to a tad past the flint...

I shoot a Investraum 50 cal. in 1 in 48 and found it to group best with 275 grain conical.

Now that I know how small an adjustment can change P.O.I. I'll just tweak it . What do you mean scale?

Okay thanks. My bad math had me at .123

So let's see if I've got this right. My radius is 31" and saying the same 8" low , my adjustment per inch is about 1/64"

Posted this in the flint lock section but thought I'll try here too. I have a Thompson center peep and sighting in at 85yds. Anyone have a ballpark idea on how much height change a one full turn or even down to 1/4 turn would give me?

Wow that's alot ! Just replaced the front with a blade site and going to sight it in on Sun. and want to get some math in my head.

Sight in is 85 yards peep is Thomson Center tang sight if that helps

Anybody have a ballpark figure on how high one full turn on the height would get me on a T.C. tang peep sight?

Wanted to say to all you smoke pole guys. I started with a 50 cal Hawken flint lock in the early 90'S and still at it ,also added an in line for those nasty days when it's legal to use it for hunting.
