    Chain fire!!

Thats exactly why I like shooting Kaido conicals in my ROA. They fit perfectly tight into the cylinder, no chance of any flash getting to the charge.

    Everything .40 Cal. Muzzleloader

Its cool that you are going with a .40 cal. I love the caliber in a muzzleloader. I've never had or wanted a smooth bore ML & never been into shooting round ball in anything, & don't even use real black powder in mine. I like a fast twist, T7 powder, modern jacketed or cast bullets. Sorry I...

    Hunting gun

LEE & BACO molds are good molds. Heres a link to Montana cast bullets .40 pistol bullet page. The top right 200gr & the bottom left 185gr bullets should serve you very well with 30-35gr FFF powder. https://www.montanabulletworks.com/shop/?filter_caliber=10mm Check out GT Bullets .40/10mm page as...

    Bulk lead source on line???

I'd love to see the looks on their faces when they read you want 1.5 TONS of lead delivered on a " free shipping " sale. That should be rather funny

    Bulk lead source on line???

Heck yeah, especially since nowadays it costs 12.95 to mail a paper clip in a matchbox.

    Hunting gun

If you need help finding or deciding on a suitable .40 conical for that, either PM me or ask in your thread, I'm sure that there are other .40 conical shooters in here besides me. Light-short conicals will serve you better in that slow round ball twist.

Really nice looking BP pistol, & I'm a big .40 cal fan too, just NOT roundballs

    Naming Your Rifle?

Very nice way of looking at things & elaborating on this. Thanks for your post, I enjoyed reading it.

Thanks for your perspective on that.

    Naming Your Rifle?

I really don't see a big deal in it by referring to the Arizona by its given designation. If you were implying that that would be " disrespectful " in some sorta way... I don't get that at all.

    Best overall BP question

Me not being anywhere close to a " Traditional guy " as long as I can get T7 & BH 209 I don't care if I ever see reg BP again. To those that don't like that, plz read that last sentence again of the OP.

    Naming Your Rifle?

I've never really got that concept of naming inanimate things like ones vehicle, gun, musical instrument, or whatever, so, obviously, I've never done it. My guns, I refer to them by their caliber or brand/model name.

    Triple Seven..you owe yourself a 1lb

I make no bones about it, I’ll take T7 over real black 100% of the time. I use T7fff in the .40 sidelock & the ROA pistol & as a cheap plinking charge with cast conicals in the .45 inline to cut way back on the amount of BH 209 & T7ff in my .50 1:24 sidelock. I got a lb or so of Goex FF & FFF...

    Just call me “dry ball”

If you're a muzzleloader shooter, it's gonna happen to you, sooner or later. We are all human. Just yesterday I was shooting at my backyard range with a friend new2bp & & was fixing to load my inline & I had just stated to my friend that it was bad practice to talk to or be in a convo with...

    History of hunting from trees

Great idea for a post, thanks. My father only hunted from 2x4 & plywood treestands, my grandfather only ground hunted/stalked. From 8yrs old in 1970, I've done plenty of both, but my primary/preferred way of hunting is with a self climber treestand. I never gave it a thought as to where that...
