    Powder Horn Project Finished

I just finished this powder horn for a friend of mine who had to take a medical retirement; it was intended to be a campaign horn of his public service career. Billy Griner, my Horn Guild mentor, assisted and guided me in the construction of this horn. Daniel Lamping made the strap. I...

Question for the "old guys"...Is it just me or are there others?

I’m 48 and right there with you sir. I much prefer scraping a powder horn, working leather, or scrimshaw work as compared to television or cell phone. I’m frequently told that I was born in the wrong Century.

    Blunderbuss in Winterhawk?

I’m down with bronchitis, so I’m watching movies. In the movie Winterhawk (1975), there’s an interesting example of what appears to be a blunderbuss complete with tacks and a sling. Does anyone have any further information to satisfy my curiosity? Thank you!

Made Myself a New Hunting Bag
