I’m down with bronchitis, so I’m watching movies. In the movie Winterhawk (1975), there’s an interesting example of what appears to be a blunderbuss complete with tacks and a sling. Does anyone have any further information to satisfy my curiosity? Thank you!

I liked the movie, as cheesy as it was. I remember it on a sling worn over the shoulder.
I don’t think many were in the mountains during that period, but fun scenes with them.

Yessir, I enjoyed the film. There isn’t much information out there in the film or the guns of the film.

At the time the movie was made/released, that brass barrel blunderbuss was listed in the Navy Arms catalog. Dixie Gun Work's catalog even listed the barrel and hardware separately in their catalog.
Today, you very rarely see one for sale second hand. The gun was made by one of the Italian makers and I think it only lasted 3-4 years. They are quite rare to find today.
