Glad to here the bare ball worked. Been testing .490 bare ball in my tradition's Kentucky and have gotten acceptable accuracy out to 40 yds. are so.

Use 65-70 gr 2 f tow wadding 1 1/2 ounch shot and heavy oiled cushion wad. Used in 62 caliber.

Took my .62 trade gun out yesterday and tried different loads. I found that using The Skychief load with bare chewed ball at about 50 yds. leaning against a tree had to consecutive shots touching. can't go wrong with a smoothbore
