    I had my Harpers Ferry pistol kit almost done. I had just finished staining, and true oiling the wood, and had it all put together. Oh wait, I forgot the barrel wedge. When I tapped it in it was kinda tight. I tapped it in further, and POW! split the wood and a chip went flying!?.. :cursing...

    Flint Type Recomendations!?..

    What Flint type and size should I have for my Harpers Ferry Pistol? I have german agate 5/8 flints now, but they just don't seem right. :hmm: dAvE

    Ball size?

    I have a Harpers Ferry pistol .58 cal. Pedersoli recomends a .575 ball. The ones I got are .570. And they just drop down the barrel. Is there going to be a deffemce when I use the patch for my first time fireing? Or should I try and find the .575? dAvE

    Paper Speed loading sleeves?

    Alot of good info! I rolled some empty tubes today and had already thought of, and used the glue stick. Keeps the tubes nice and tight. My ammo, and flint should be here tomarrow, and I'm going to play around with loading the cartriges tommarow night. Can't wait to shoot. I'm really itching to...

    I was at Fort Niagara last summer during there french/indian war reinactment. And a guy showed me a leather pouch full of paper speed loaders. Basically powder and balls rolled in paper. Is there any special type paper that I would need to use to make my own, or is there a place to order this...
