    Barrel finishing question

    Browning the treads of the cut and treaded touch hole might fuse the liner to the barrel. Thats why I had to send my lock back to Chambers. A screw got fused to the lock plate.

    When I did mine I kept the plug in, and put a rubber stopper in the muzzle end. Also browned it before I cut the touch hole.

    Dont matter. I can pull my 1860 with either hand. Same with my shoulder rig (45ACP). A lot of right handers wear a butt first holster and draw with either hand. I carry mine on the left side. Much faster left handed.

    1/60 thru 1/72 are Optimum for round ball. If your buying a production barrel, you are going to get what the manufactured decided was best. 1/48 is an all around twist. They do it that way so you can use what you want. Cept you results may very. I use a 1/60 rice barrel. Because its swamped...

    Huh? Wha? My flinter does 1630fps with a standard load, and 2050fps with a max load. Even my PBC do 1450-1600fps, down form 1750fps where I started off at. and them be 460-540gr pills.

    I use the Duco, Ive never not used it, so I dont know what its like without it. I have a ton of copper for making gas checks. I tried to use it, but the pop cans worked better.
