There is an adapter on the market that lets you use different primers but it is a pain to use as you have to unscrew the top half of it to install or remove a primer.

I have been happy with it. It is a good patch lube IMO and I will wipe a clean bore with it for short term storage if I plan on shooting it again within a few weeks. For long term storage I prefer ballistol or better yet a real preservative oil.
