This is the same type of sight and rifle I used to take my 200 lb Doe this year. It is still a little fuzzy for me but it is better than open sights that I had before. After see the homemade peep sight on this post it has given me some ideas to make a peep sight and mount it on the tang.

I like you peep sight and the way you have mounted it. Could you tell me where you got the Johnson peep sight at. I think this will help me with my failing eyes.

Mine is a brass rod with a t-handle and a brass muzzle guard.

what olive oil to wax ratio do you use for lube

Went out to my range and test fired my T/C Hawkins 50 cal. after I have coned the barrel. I can now load round balls now without a short starter. Works good, now I have two more rifles to cone the barrels on I expect them to work just as well.
