    36 cal Navy ball?

i just uncovered a 36 cal Navy (I think) that my buddy gave me about 15 years ago. He gave it too me in a box. It was in pieces and all rusty. I cleaned it up and put it back together. And forgot about it. Bore is bright and chambers are good. What caliber ball would I shoot out of it? How many...

    Making what you need.

Currently the only thing I wear and use that was NOT made by me are my Arrow Mocs (they are just so Tough and Comfy!) and My felt hat! Everything else in between was made by my hand, from parts of course. I'm too poor to pay someone for something I can make myself! Plus as already said, using...

    Santa Fe Trail Rendezvous

I was there on Tuesday with my boys, We are not dressed proper because they have outgrown their duds (except for youngest, he gets hand-me-downs) I just happened to be down in NM visiting when I realized that the Rendezvous was going on, so we went out there for the day. We had our Hawks and...

    Barrel key loose?

It just means the hole that the key is in is too big. The keys provide very little structural support. They are only there to hold it together. Where the breach meets the stock is where the energy is. Several ways to solve the problem depending on the severity. If its just slightly too big...

    Loading revolver

I believe he meant 45 Long Colt barrels. Ruger just used the same barrels they used on other 45 Long Colt pistols and fitted them to the ROA single actions.

    Pistol deer hunting??????????????

I agree with you to a point. If a person is not going to respect the game animal enough to limit its suffering then they should not be out there chasing them. And the sad thing is there are many out there who do just that. I do not know Skychief personally, but I have read his posts and if he...

Recommendation on Guided Hunt for Deer or Elk in MT or WY

I was just teasing. :) I was in Redmond but never got a chance to hunt, Never drew a tag there either. Seamed to me like most of the deer were in peoples yards. Only saw a few elk in Central Oregon, not enough to get excited. I lived in North East Oregon almost 30 years ago and there was a...

Can I come!!!! I just moved back to Nevada from central Oregon, I know, I know... But I did not draw my tags in Oregon. And Nevada is a tough nut to crack for tags!

    Colonial pistol progress

You noticed correctly!! It was a lock I had for my son. But where he is he can’t get real black powder so I will build him a cap gun instead. Figured on a pistol the side the lock was on didn’t matter. It’s all for fun anyway!!
