A straight barrel would work fine with a Bedford style rifle, a barrel with a very slight swamp would be better. Seems Rice barrel company had one like that. Robin

Do you mean dye made from walnut hulls or a premade alchohol stock stain like Laurel Mountain? The all natural stain will fade to a pinkish brown after exposier to the sun so you really have to experiment and plan ahead. The alcohol based stain does fade a bit but is pretty much color fast. I...

I alternate between using Johnson's, I think its bowling alley wax and the aerosol Lemon Pledge, neither one of them turns white.. I always use a tooth brush when applying the Johnson's to keep it from building up in the incise carving. The Pledge cleans out any build up and leaves a nice glow...
