    How old is the gun? How heavy is the projectile? What is the "windage"(bore diameter minus(-) shell diameter? Who made the powder?

    I am building implements for our 6 and 12- pounder Napoleons, to regulation. The Army calls for a "copper band,0.5 inch wide and 0.05 inch thick, fastened with three copper nails". Can anyone describe the location of this band upon the rammer head? Thanks. Pvt. Lewis, Btry A, 1st O.L.A.

    Rust removal

    In Colorado I acquired a perc barrel marked "Sharon Rifle Barrel Co. .58 CAL" on the bottom. It is in unfired, unused condition.Are there stocks and lock parts available? It has a pinned rear plug with threaded hole for a nipple,measures .95 in across the hex flats, 32" long. Dovetail type slots...
