First new thread post (pic heavy)

Great job on both your rifle and your hunt(s). I really enjoyed your write-up. Thanks for sharing it. Knowing you packed all that meat over all those arduous mountain miles means it’s going to taste all that much better! Enjoy it!

Welcome from the San Juan Islands just north of you! Take heart: not all Left Coast residents are anti-gun ostriches with their head in the sand.

I (unfortuantely) have to second that 'side-note' admonition as I, too, fell for it a couple of years back trying to buy unmentionable Lapua brass. Caveat emptor!

    Muzzleloader Bull Elk, 2023.

Your comment, “i am beginning to think that the elks’ spirit demands a piece of my rifle in exchange.” is definitely the way of the Wapiti! They are magical animals for sure and like coyote, can be devilish ‘tricksters’ as well! Congratulations on four great hunts.

    Callahan Bagmold

I, too, have several of his bag molds, including a custom size and they work like a charm. In fact, I prefer using them versus my Lyman molds as they are so ea easy to use. I echo that the rest of his products are high quality as well and shipment is fast to boot. Great guy to do business with.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Same at our high school except many of our teachers, who parked in the same lot, would wander over asking to see exactly what make/model/caliber we were carrying and chat about the pros and cons of each. No one got shot, no one even considered the idea that having and displaying a firearm was...
