Bad influence, don't worry, I'll tell my financial advisor it is our grand-children's fault, they also want one of everything.

Pietta 1851 44 navy, wise choice?

Thanks Junkman. It's brass framed. Also thought about 1858 New Army. Cabel's list them in 8 and 5 1/2 barrel lenght, think sight radius would be better on 8 incher, need all the help I can get. Any feedback on buying from them?

    Greetings from E. Tenn.

Thanks everyone! I've been scaning several different forums and felt more at home with you folks, good straight talkin' and helpful ideas. I need to replace my bp deer gun (inline) with cb or a flinter. Lookin at new toys as we speak, kicking myself for selling the Hawken I started with.

Always wanted a revolver but never took the plunge. Has anyone owned one of these? Would this be a wise pick for a first shooter? Any thoughts or comments will go a long way in my choice.

    Greetings from E. Tenn.

Although I've hunted with muzzle loaders,I gave up hunting a few years ago, I want to start shooting for pleasure again. You folks sound like a great group to get to know, and help an "old dog" enjoy a great time again. Looking forward to reading all comments on making smoke.
