For plinking at the range I use the dry ballistol patches and every 5 shots or so I use a wet patch with 1\1 dawn and water. Keeps the rifle clean and loading smoothly.

The Uberti1849 is the most frustrating pistol I own. It took a ridiculous amount of tuning and tinkering to get it to run reliably. Nipple swap,double mainsprings and 3d caps or cci magnums only plus the metal work on the innards.........good luck.

Needs lubing as well but I prefer prb myself they seem to shoot better and are more fun for me. I like the fun you have in your videos too many people take themselves too seriously. This is a fun thing to do may as well let it show. 😁

7parts water 1 part ballistol let the patch material lay flat and dry.

Given the small size and what I nave seen from gas cutting over time I wouldn't do it myself. I usually give the pin and cylinder face a wipe while reloading and they run smoothly all day.

Using the standard .45 lee mold that doesn't shave in my Piettas they sometimes back out under recoil. Shooting 30 or 35 grains t7 or pyrodex as a standard. The kerrs from eras gone shave a good ring and don't back out. .454 lee mold rounballs shave excellent rings and don't back out even with...
