Was Dutch right about wiping between shots?

I’ll leave that for you to worry about 👍

    Other than Hoyt......

I have had antique Winchester rifles done by him. No complaints, quality work.

Was Dutch right about wiping between shots?

Just ram and seat the ball with a jag and cleaning patch. Now you wiped the bore without pushing fouling down into the breech area.

    Kibler Breach Plug

    Correct, right hand thread.

Flintlock accuracy and need help finding load

Don’t know what lube you’re using but try spit or windshield washer fluid. Not greasy slick stuff.

    Kibler Breach Plug

I think you said the screw is off to the side and possibly between barrel wall and ball? I would be concerned about it scoring the bore if shot out or removed to the front. The rice barrel jaws and wrench work well. I imagine it’s still fouled from shooting so you might clean it best you can and...

Flintlock accuracy and need help finding load

I assume you are using eye and hearing protection, you may also try a recoil shield like a PAST that goes on your shoulder. That barrel sounds suspicious and may very well be the reason or at least part of it. You ought to expect around 5” rounded groups from a bench at 100.

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

And yet another. I point the OP to to a valid option and you chime in with useless opinions.

Removing Nickle Plating From Guns (of any period)

Yes. A chrome plating shop can strip rather quickly.

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

I don’t think you need to defend his choice, all the other companies had the the same choices.

opinions of best twist rate for 45

I have Rice 45s with 1-66 which I thought would be a little slow for milder target loads. But with 50gr at 100 yards from a bench rest will make you grin from ear to ear. They are square cut style American Heritage series.

Kibler stocks OK for a lefty?

Get a Jim Chambers LH Issac Haines, best ergonomics of all. Why support Kibler when he doesn’t support left handers.

    Tent makers still in business?

C&C sutlery has no bell backs. I personally knew Don Strinz and think someone bought his business but can’t recall.

    Tent makers still in business?

Thought about getting a bell back wedge. RK lodges looked good so I called only to find them out of business even though they still had a website. I know Panther is out also and I have bought several from them over the years. I think Red Hawk is still going as well as ccsutlery. What options...

    Schutzen 3F thoughts

Just as good as goex and cheaper. I basically use WW fluid for patch lube. I shoot bench rest and off hand. My next case will likely be Schutzen agin. Flint and cap from 32 to 62 no problem.
