I have a 54 caliber T/C renegade, would it be possible to have a 62 caliber smoothbore barrel fitted to it and if so what’s the best approach to doing so?
Id like to have a gun I can hunt large and small game with. Mostly deer, turkey and squirrels.
I am using pre cut T/C pillow ticking patches and T/C pre cut 100% cotton patches. also bought pillow ticking from the fabric store.
Shot .440 and .445 balls with 2f and 3f goex as well as 3f pyrodex P powder.
Think y’all convinced me to go shoot some patched rd balls again tomorrow!
The rifling on the last 1” of the barrel is basically gone. I attribute it to the wrong kinda ram rod being used for mean years.(steel) There is also a lot of pitting inside the barrel.
Bought a mint condition 45 caliber barrel to replace it but the barrel in question was the original barrel...
Have a T/C Cherokee I have owned for 30+ years. In my younger days Foolishly shot 100grs in it of who knows what powder but we also thought you used cleaning patches for round ball loads.
Now days trying to take it easy on the little gun. However have yet to find an accurate rd ball load and...
Plan to call him soon. I have a 45cal T/C Cherokee barrel that’s seen better days. have a good replacement but this was the original barrel so would like to savage it for sentimental reasons.
Is it possible to keep the same caliber barrel but have the rifling change?
For example a 45 caliber barrel with 1:48 twist to a 45 caliber with 1:66 twist
