Hello everyone,
I thought I’d show you all my TC Seneca my dad gave me for Christmas back in 1982. It is in .45 caliber and is a sweet shooter.

Nice old TC there. I feel the draw of adding a 45 Cal Seneca to my pair of TCs. I would want a 45 as nothing smaller in bore is legal for deer here in NY.

They're great woods-dancers ( I've long had one also).

I've used T/C MaxiHunter conicals in mine for a million years , and it's been pretty much bang/flop.

What do use ?

Seneca's and Cherokee's were both very nice rifles for youth, women , and smaller men. Good balance and nice handling.I have two Cherokee's for the grand kids.

I have the Seneca in 36cal factory barrel and another one with a Douglas 40 cal extra long barrel. Both are tack drivers and I like the fit and feel of it over the 54cal T/C Hawken that I have. The 36 is just a fun caliber to shoot and does not use up supplies like the larger calibers do.

Would probably not be fun to shoot if it did come in 50cal. Would probably kick pretty good with a 100 grains behind a 50cal ball

I have a Seneca 45, and have never shot anything but mouse loads from it at club matches. It's nice to carry on woods walks. Also have a brand spanking new green Mtn 40 cal barrel for it. Never even loaded that. Picked it up a couple years ago unfired in the white, from a guy who had sitting around for years.

Also have a Cherokee that I've never shot. I seem to have a problem with acquiring guns and not shooting them.
