    Bought a powder horn at a garage sale. I don't mind the 1776 but really don't like the 1976. I am new to muzzleloading and I'm putting together a Lyman GPR. Can I sand off the 1976 without hurting the horn. Thanks

    Simple, Easy (and Cheap) Sandbags

    I got new cheap nail aprons from the lumberyard and sewed them up except for about 1" filled with creek sand and then hand stiched the rest. Don't fill them too full and they fold over for double tall. I think the aprons were around $.75 each.
