    replacing lock on Pedersoli Kentucky

I have a Pedersoli Kentucky that was having similar problems. I took it to Ledfords Trading Post in Hickory, NC. They deal with a lot of guns like this. The gunsmith tried several flints and found that the flat flints worked best. I had been using flints with a hump in the middle. I also have a...

    Pedersoli flintlock not throwing sparks

An update on my Pedersoli Kentucky flintlock. I picked up some English flints from a reputable shop in Hickory, NC. They have been in the business for a long time and work with the traditional stuff all the time. I had placed a tiny strip of leather under the back of my flint to change the...

    Pedersoli flintlock not throwing sparks

I only get my Pedersoli to throw sparks just a few times and then nothing. I have to tap on the flint to get a new edge and go through the sequence all over again. I don't understand why I can't get two shots back to back without having flint problems. I am very new to muzzleloaders and I'm...

    "Boys' Rifle"

    Hello from Charlotte, North Carolina

I am new to the muzzleloader world. A customer gave me a Pedersoli Kentucky Flintlock .45 cal. rifle. I haven't shot it yet but I had it checked out and it's in great shape. I can't wait. I hunt with a Ben Pearson recurve bow so I guess I like the "old school" stuff. Great site by the way.

    stuck brass brush

What about the brushes that are "made" for muzzleloaders? They are suppose to be able turn around inside the barrel. This is my first post since I am new to muzzeloaders.
