Knife Kit...

Good question. I wouldn't mind the blade but would consider a finished knife. Thanks.

    Knife Kit...

Very nice. But what about the blade? Where can I get a high quality blade? I'm assuming yours is a high quality blade! Thanks!

    Knife Kit...

question. I have a friend who wants to make me a sheath to go with a Mountain Man style knife. The trouble is that while I can find all the usual suspects, I'm not sure of the quality of their knives. In short, I want something that is high quality. It doesn't have to be fancy but it should...

    Hawk pictures.

Question updates: The blade handforged and is 1 of 100. It was made by a "trader" in Montana. The handle is separate from the blade the blade is one piece. Does this answer everyone's questions.

    Hawk pictures.

I hope you enjoy these pictures. I recently had a friend give me this custom hawk she made. She made. She patterned it after some beadwork she found during her studies. URL=http://img247.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1001519lw8.jpg]

New Barrel for old CVA Pistol

Thanks for the advice. I'll try it and let everyone know what happens. Hopefully, I can get to it this weekend. They didn't have screw on sights. What it had was the sight with a metal prong coming out the bottom. You tapped and drilled a hole and then put the sight in with locktight. This...

New Barrel for old CVA Pistol

I don't want to tell you why I need a new barrel. OK, here it is. Years ago, I screwed up on drilling the holes for the two sights. They are not in line by a long shot. You can only compensate so much. I like shooting the pistol when I go camping but it is more of a here it goes let's see...

    Paging Claude

Claude, Mike Brooks stated that you were considering burning a CD of his excellent tips on constructing a rifle. Is that still a viable project? Thanks, BB61 http://www.muzzleloadingforum.com/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/192459/post/new/#NEW

    Paging Mike Brooks

Sir: I've been gone for a while so I may have missed this but have you considered and/or would you be willing to burn a DVD/CD with your entire gun building seminar on it? Of course, payment in advance would be appropriate. While there are many good books on the topic, your step by step...

New Barrel for old CVA Pistol

I need a new barrel for an old (24 years) CVA Colonial Pistol chambered in .45. I'm looking for a barrel more out of sentimental value. As such, I don't want the most expensive but a servicable barrel that will be fun to shoot and which may even allow me to hit a target. Any suggestions would...

    Tung Oil

When I built my one and only rifle (not an expert), I rubbed a very very, very thin coat of Tung Oil onto the stock and left it to dry. I't was the middle of the Summer in Utah -- read NO humidity desert dry. After two days my stock was still tacky. After a week of messing with it, I stripped...
