Before I asked the question I had already placed a max bid of $20. for it on an online auction. I guess that may be likely its max value. Seeing your remarks. This will my only pre 1900 bayonet if I win it.

    Can you ID this bayonet?

I am very new in the vintage black powder fire arms. So its newer than I thought. I am thinking about buying this bayonet for my collection, its being put up for sale soon. Seller has no knowledge of what it is other than a bayonet.. Thanks for all your helpful input.

    German,Double Barrel Side x Side

Again in response to Supercracker. I am 99% sure this gun is the same as the one on gunsinternational, just not as well kept & I see it has a swivel were I have a wood peg inserted in my stock. And thanks for the input on my hammer ordeal.

This gun doesn't have sling swivels. There is a wood peg sanded flush with the stock were a swivel could have gone, I thought this to be only a repair. I have the action free and is working correctly. Doubt I will ever find a replacement hammer, so I will test my machinist skills.

I was having trouble with the photo, But yes it does look a lot like this gun. I thought the trigger guard was wood. What type of horn was used? Cow? I am missing one hammer, would like to replace it. Likely this will only be used for display.
