    New T/C hawkin stock

Here's a few pics of my T/C Hawkins and a couple of unfinished projects. The flintlock appears to be an early model and has really nice wood. I bought it as you see it with the not very "PC" sights. The cap lock has the new stock I received last night. I can't wait to shoot it! Thanks Ron

    1st Muzzleloader -- New Cabela's or Used T/C?

That's good info Boar- Dilly. I had no idea "K" numbered T/C's were from kits. Last summer I bought two used T/C hawkins. One is a.45 flinter with the serial # 94xx. (an early one?) The other one is a .50 caplock with the number K460xx. I sent the stripped stock from the "K" gun in for...

    New T/C hawkin stock

Last year I purchased a used .50 cal. caplock T/C Hawkin rifle at a local pawn shop for $100, (after a little haggling... :hmm: The rifle was in fairly good shape with the exception of a short crack in the stock, just behind the lock. A couple of months ago I stripped the stock down, marked...

    T/C flintlock

The only thing I miss about the old style lock is the looks of the hammer. I thought it was more graceful looking. Other than that it was useless...The flint would slam into the frizzen at about a 90 degree angle and send bits of flint everywhere.... Honestly, I can't see how that design ever...

    flintlock shooting tips?

I just recently bought my first flintlock rifle, an old T/C .45 caliber Hawkin. It has a peep sight mounted on it. ( I know, not very PC). I have never fired a flintlock anything in my life but I still managed to hit a coffee can full of dirt a couple of times within 5 shots at 25 yards. (...

    T/C flintlock

Right on! Armed with advice gleaned on this board I sent the bum lock back to T/C. (Certified mail, attn. sevice manager Tim Panchurac and a note explaining the problem). Today I recieved a small package containing a new lock from T/C with all the latest features. It fits my old .45 Hawkin like...

    T/C flintlock

I hear you Lonewolf, I recently spent $85 bucks for 5 pounds of Goex black powder (shipping cost is unreal, isn't it?) so that I would would be set when my lock arrived. I've been burning up some of it in my cap 'n ball revolver to get my fix meanwhile, but....I'm still bummed out. I guess...

    T/C flintlock

Recently I purchased a used T/C flintlock hawken in .45 cal. to compliment my T/C caplock rifle in .50 cal. This being my first flintlock I had to do a bit of research to learn how to use it. (I learned a lot from this forum.) The first problem I ran into was getting the lock to spark. I...
