    Pressure flaking top or bottom?

Is it best to pressure flake from the top side of the flint or the bottom side or does it not make any difference? I haven't seen any preference and usually see it done from the top with the flint installed in jaws of the **** but wondered if it might last longer if I took it out and flaked it...

    Advice needed on mid-late 70's TC Hawk 28"b w/1:48t

I am betting the bullet would spin in the sabot before it was screwed in far enough to pull it.

The results of the bore scope are in and it isn't what I expected. I guess that just goes to show that a light down the bore doesn't really prove anything.

As near as I can tell from looking down the bore it is clean. I have friend that has a bore scope that I can get to scope it this weekend if you want. I don't take paypal for firearms.

    Load Workup Order

The easiest way is to measure the outside diameter of your barrel and then the thickness at a groove and and a land and calculate using those measurements.

    Load Workup Order

Where do you usually start with a gun new to you when figuring out the most accurate load combination? I usually start with a fairly loose patch ball combination and a light powder charge. I increase the powder charge to find the best group and then vary the patch size to see if I can improve...

    SOLD Thompson Center Cherokee 32

TC Cherokee in 32 caliber. This is a used Cherokee I acquired about 15 years ago. I shot it some when I first bought it but it has sat pretty much unused for the last 10 years or so. It is as would be expected for an older used rifle. There are some small dings in the stock and some rust marks...

    Seneca Cherokee peep width

It looks like mine is for the full size Hawken. I had it mounted on a Cherokee for a while and it worked fine but is a little wider than the tang on that rifle.

    Seneca Cherokee peep width

Does anyone have 7196 TC peep sight that was made for the Cherokee and Seneca rifles? If so I would like to know the width. I have a TC made rear peep but I am not sure if it was made for the full size rifles or the smaller rifles. My sight measures .500. It looks like it could be used on either...
