    Shotgun loads

I just took my pedersoli 12 ga SxS out hunting the other day. The shotgun has been loaded since 2009 or 2010, I can't remember which. Didn't fire it when I took it out then didn't take it out the rest of the season. It stayed in my gun cabinate that entire time, except for once last year when...

    Leaving gun charged

Sticks and stones my friend. So I guess anyone that disagrees is a trouble maker huh? I did not mean to offend anyone by posting my opinion as far as the first post goes. If you wish to continue this conversation, since it is getting WAY OT, feel free to IM me as I'm not wasting any more...

    Leaving gun charged

This board is getting as bad as some of the others I visit.

    Leaving gun charged

First off, the arguement saying you don't leave smokeless cartridge guns loaded is flawed IMO. When I take my ML inside I do not leave the cap on, so the rifle is not able to be fired without putting a cap on the rifle. This is also how I transport my ML in my vehicle, which is considered...

    Source for deer tallow

Contact your local law enforcement and ask them if they keep a list of people who want car kill deer. In WI, some county's keep the list and will call you to come get a car kill and the tag is free. You will then have some fine eating along with the fat you need.

    Non-toxic shot update

I was wondering if anyone had any updates on the non-tox shot issue. I was dismayed to hear about bismuth as this is what I've been using. There was some talk about some new shot that just came out but it hadn't been tested yet. Also, has anyone ordered from hunter's bismuth? I have sent...

    Smoked Goose!

Your friends give you manure about hunting ducks with your smoke pole? I know mine do. :yakyak: I don't care though as I love my pedersoli.

    Grouse?

    None that I can share

    Non-toxic shot

I don't use plastic shot cups in my pedersoli SxS with lead or bismuth. If the ecotungston is just a bit harder then lead, I would like to know if you have to use shot cups for it or if you can load it like lead/bismuth. If you have to use shot cups, I'll forget about it in a hurry.

    Grouse?

4 fell to my pedersoli today. Lots of them up here.

    pedersoil steel shot

That's what I thought. I normally use bismuth but will have to search for another type of shot as the supply is gone of the bismuth :shake: . I'm surprised that Cabela's put this on their web site as it indicated to me that as long as the barrel was chromed lined, you could use steel shot...

    pedersoil steel shot

Can you use steel shot (loaded like lead w/o shot cups) in chromed lined pedersoli shotguns? I thought that this was a no-no even with the chromed lined but I was looking on Cabela's site today and they are claiming that the shotguns they sell are chromed lined for use with steel shot. What's...

    Shot Maker

The military maybe phasing out the lead core but that hasn't happened yet, and things change when your dealing with the gov. not to mention that I've been hearing that the military is phasing out lead for the last few years. I can't believe that shooters "panic buying" has driven up the cost of...

    Shot Maker

I was looking at the price of lead shot and I couldn't believe that it was 38 dollars per #25 and they were completely sold out, telling me that the next shot on order is jumping to 45 dollars. :shocked2: At these prices, I have been looking into making my own shot, maybe with one of these...

    SxS pedersoli shotgun

So you just file the choke tubes and leave the barrel alone?

Opinions on 12 gauge Turkey loads

I'd say at least 7-10, consistantly.

    Bismuth shot

Yes, I will be, but I didn'rt know if someone here had already done so and what they were told.

    Bismuth shot

I was just catching up on my reading of this board after taking a few months off and I was shocked to learn that Bismuth shot is going the way of the dinosaur with no light at the end of the tunnel. I used Bismuth last year for ducks and loved it. I was going to buy 7 more pounds this year and...

    SxS pedersoli shotgun

I have a 12 ga SxS shotgun bought from Cabelas about 2-3 years ago. I have been using it for hunting grouse/ducks, and this year turkeys and phesants. Last year, I noticed that the shot gun was shooting to different points of impact. The left barrel was shooting just to the left of the point...
