Zonie Thanks for the explanation and the CO2 link.... which, I thought was directly related to the discussion we were having about mz.

Stuck ball in a charged rifle

I could be mistaken... which happens a lot, actually, but my understanding was the psi from a 16-gram CO2 was between 90-130... but realistically closer to 120 in a good day.

800 psi from a 16 gram CO2? Where did you find this data? Respectfully,

Also... when you use the CO2... you gotta make sure you have a good seal when you’re pressing it onto the nipple/touch hole... and don’t be afraid to apply some pressure there or you’ll never get close to 120 psi to move your ball down the barrel.

    Serial Number Dating a T/C

Thanks.... I read the same in several of the preceding 8 pages. I got through 7 pages thinking my 4-digit barrel was made by Sharron... and then on page 6 or 7 found conflicting info... lol So... So... (from the 9 pages here) I thought Sharron made barrels for T/C from the start... and stamped...

    Serial Number Dating a T/C

For what it's worth... I have a .45 pre-warning flintlock barrel with a spade stamped on the bottom..... serial 6***. Bought it used... 6-8 yrs ago... but maybe the stamp and serial number will help... eventually. Thanks to everyone who had some input to this thread over the years.
